Brunswick

Wednesday, February 4th, 2009

Last week I got some video of the Brunswick building in Leeds city centre. It’s really near where I work, and some of my friends spent some of their uni years there. Sadly, it’s earmarked for demolition, which is a shame – it’s the most retro-future building I’ve seen in the city centre, and easily worthy of being featured in an Add N To (X) video or something (if only they had been from Leeds instead of Sheffield, I’m sure it would have been).

I’m not sure what I’m gonna do with the vid exactly, but it was all shot on a sunny January day and I think it looks very nice. It’ll be a good souvenir when the site’s been turned into another f-cking block of yuppie flats anyway.

Here’s a picture I took of the Brunswick building that I took in happier times:

Right, I’m off to do some more prep for my Max Tundra gig tomorrow. It’s at the Brudenell Social Club and it’s £7 on the door, or £6 advance from the usual ticket sites. Have a peek at this Ben Butler & Mouse Pad video by the way… pretty goddamn good. I reckon it may have been created by Lachlan who illustrated the poster for our Leeds gig. Be sure to set the video player to ‘HQ’.
